Giampaolo Amoruso has called his exhibition "Fragile Umanità - fragile humanity". His figures make this title vivid. They are a reflection of innocence and an expression of an inner sensitivity. In his very own visual language, Amoruso makes being human and humanity his theme - and touches the soul of the viewer with his poetry.

Giampaolo Amoruso, the son of Italian immigrants, grew up in the shadow of the glass factory in Boussu. He learnt the craft of glassmaking at the age of 15. The technical virtuosity of working with glass fascinated him from the very beginning, but the routine of industrial production did not suit his passionate nature. Inspired by the Belgian glass art scene, he discovered glass as a way of giving free rein to his creativity.

Amoruso masters his material, his mouthpiece, to perfection and also has the talent to use the material to convey his messages and values in an expressive way. He is one of the best-known glass artists in Belgium. In Frauenau, he presents an overview of all phases of his work.
