You can choose between a general guided tour of the museum or the themed tour „Living and Working with Glass – Glassworks in the Bavarian Forest“. 

This themed tour invites you to delve into the history of glassmakers in the Bavarian Forest. You will learn about the lives of the people in and around the glassworks, and gain a vivid insight into how a glass product is made, from working at the red-hot furnace right through to the finishing stages. Traditional manual glassmaking is recognised by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage – yet it is also a craft that has become increasingly rare in the region.

The guided tour is aimed particularly at groups interested in regional history, traditional crafts and the cultural heritage of the Bavarian Forest.

Guided tours can be adapted to the needs of inclusive groups.
