Knowledge
The inner circle of our museum tells the story of local glassmaking. The various workshops are located around the furnace, we immerse ourselves in the craft, in the cultural history of glass and encounter the old glassmakers and their social history. This is where our virtual part comes in. Little by little, we bring them into the museum, the people who make glass today, but also those who made glass in the past and preserve ancient knowledge. In short videos, glassmakers introduce themselves, provide insights into their glass cosmos and explain a section of the museum's manufactory.

Tour
The museum team goes travelling: We visit artists, craftsmen and businesses directly on site - in their studios, workshops, glassworks and companies. This creates lively insights into the fascinating world of glass - right at the centre of the everyday lives of those who design, shape and preserve glass.
Our "On Tour" video series expands the existing expert knowledge and makes it even more lively and varied. They not only tell glass history, but also document contemporary history.
Immerse yourself with us in individual stories, discover old traditions and new techniques, and experience at first hand how diverse the world of glass is today.
