"There's nothing interesting left", as one occasionally hears in collectors' circles, is disproved by this exhibition. The Frauenau Glass Museum is showing 2025 new acquisitions from the Birgit and Dieter Schaich Collection, Munich, on the subject of moulded glass from the 12th to the 19th century, most of which have not yet been published, with a look beyond the German horizon. The exhibition is organised into twelve themes. In addition to the individual mould groups of beakers, jugs and jugs, goblets and "Alpine" bottles, glass exhibits from the household, alchemy and pharmacy are also on display. Separate chapters are devoted to finds from Upper Bavarian lakes and glass from Allgäu glassworks from the 17th to 19th centuries.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue with illustrations and descriptions of over 330 exhibits and detailed introductory texts on special forms and groups.
